This two-week classroom program presented a "How-To" guide to maintaining and repairing bridges and buildings on railroad property.  The program included tests, lesson plans, trainee guides and audiovisual materials to support the "hands-on" training.

Crane Operator Training Program

This three-day program focused on efficient and safe operating procedures for crane operators as well as proper maintenance and repair scheduling.  Tests, trainer lesson plans, trainee guides, and audiovisual materials supported the program.

Static-Generating Cargos

This program was designed to explain hazards involved in loading and unloading static-generating cargo to tankermen.  A unique feature of the program was a plastic sliding calculator displaying relevant information on static-generating cargos and their proper handling.

This project produced a pocket-size guide that reminds tank and barge personnel the proper steps to take when lifting heavy objects.

Cargo Quality Control

This slide/tape program explained the precautions Tankermen must take to prevent cargo contamination and oil spills when loading and unloading petroleum barges.

Fleet Policy and Procedures Manual

This project created three manuals for Tug Captains, Engineers, and Barge Tankermen explain company rules and regulations, emergency procedures and regulations, and maintenance policies.

In this project the R40 7KW Converter Operational and Instructional Manual were converted to an XYZYX-formatted Work Manual per company’s specifications.  It involved preparation of detailed, exploded, isometric assembly drawings from engineering blueprints.

HVAC Training Program

This project assisted in the development of a five-day training program designed to train personnel how to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot the HVAC system on the R68 railcar.
